Jaworzno Market Square
The renovated market square in Jaworzno is illuminated as the sun goes down, with functional and scenic lights
The square was the site of the city market since 1825 and hosted most of the area's trade as well as being the hub of the city's social life. Its unusual triangular shape has the church as its centrepiece. Initially made of wood, it was later built in brick at the beginning of the 16th century, in accordance with the development and redevelopment plan for the area, which also involved the buildings facing the square, as they were the historical headquarters of the area's main commercial and artisan activities.
