Parkhotel Egenrner Hofe
The magic of a lodge surrounded by nature
Bounded by the Bavarian Alps, near the picturesque Lake Tegernsee, the Parkhotel Egerner Höfe offers the best one could wish for in seeking complete and profound relaxation. The spacious rooms are complemented by services typical of a five-star hotel belonging to the prestigious Relais & Châteaux chain, such as the Mangfall spa, swimming pool, wellness room and the gourmet restaurant with traditional local and regional dishes bearing the signature of starred Chef Thomas Kellermann.

Technology and simplicity for precision lighting
Recently purchased by one of the most important families in the area, the hotel has been subject to a major restyling, which has seen not only its expansion with the wellness area, swimming pool and the restaurant itself but also a renovation of the interior.
The objective was to create a continuum between the interior and exterior that would give the visitor a feeling of well-being and relaxation. For this reason, great attention was paid to the lighting design developed by Zurich-based studio LichtKompetenz, which skilfully blended natural and artificial lighting through the installation of high-performance solutions. Like the Linea Light Group’s Skin.
Skin: protagonist of the scene
Installed outdoors in the metal structure surrounding the building and acting as a sunshade, Linea Light Group’s Skin is an innovative luminaire with an IP67 rating, being highly versatile thanks to its luminance-controlled optics available in different finishes and configurable as flush-mounted in the floor, wall or ceiling, or else semi-recessed or fitted on the ceiling.
With the dual aim of emphasising the park surrounding the hotel and rendering it perfectly visible also in the evening hours along with exalting the lines of the building, Skin was installed along the entire external perimeter, thanks also to its unusual elongated hexagonal form that allowed this fixture to be perfectly integrated into the architecture.
In addition, embedded in the floor, Skin was also utilised indoors to illuminate the entrance to the dining room of the hotel’s restaurant.
