Palazzo Mola
Curvilinear narrative elements for a new dialectic of space
The charm and incisiveness of glass is combined with the skilful use of aluminium for a perimeter of the physical space of this building. Here, Palazzo Mola rationalises an integration of volumes and a masterful use of symmetry on each façade of the square plan thanks to the vaulted structures.

Linea Light Group interprets, with architect Gianni Rigo, a different use of lighting technology for a massive visual impact of the building that later became Unica Group's headquarters. Already imposing in their being, the vaulted lines that characterise the façade are emphasised not so much by spotlights, a common choice in this type of product positioning, but by linear lighting. Archiline is thus used to give shape and three-dimensionality to the volumes of the architecture, supported in this role by Alcor, which delineates a grazing light thanks to the outdoor driveways. The staircase, also outdoors, is illuminated by Quara, a very unusual recessed wall light, almost a drop of light hollowed out in the aluminium body. Installed near the paving, it projects a touch of round light into the space below and decorates it with class and taste. Perfect for revealing, suggestively but discreetly, the shapes of a staircase in the dark. The aim, in setting up this type of exterior lighting, was to enhance the splay of the structure and emphasise its recessed volume. The interior, on the other hand, was designed to be as functional and unobtrusive as possible. Concealed light profiles and downlights were chosen to illuminate the offices, corridors and common areas. Only on the top floor, under the curved glass vault, are hanging tours of different diameters, as a minimal decorative touch in family feeling with the total design approach.
