A new lighting concept
An innovative lighting concept, oriented towards the visual comfort of the customer and a more correct display of goods, is the focus of the project realised at the Interspar shop in Conegliano. The product is the protagonist and the customer can walk among the shelves and islands without being dazzled by too strong and artificial light, with a strong focus on energy saving and technology. In the retail sector, light plays a decisive role in the dynamics of displaying and selling products. Too strong light flattens the goods displayed on the shelves and burdens the customer's view, who must instead be accompanied in his or her choice. In addition, for large spaces such as supermarkets, where many luminaires are required, an enormous amount of energy is also required. Hence the idea of a product that can exploit LED technology for low consumption, and that thanks to the numerous configuration possibilities can meet the lighting requirements of a very complex sector such as the large-scale retail trade.

The right light in the right places
A large part of the design was developed with the Trail continuous-row lighting system: energy efficiency, clean light without contrasts, maximum versatility and, above all, durability thanks to high-quality components requiring little maintenance. The 4000 K colour temperature ensures the visual comfort of natural light with good colour rendering. Trail is used, in a parallel configuration, for lighting the aisles: the asymmetrical and bi-asymmetrical optics ensure comfortable general lighting, with greater lateral focus on the products on display, guiding the customer to their purchase and leaving them free to stroll through the shelves without being dazzled. The three-phase track system, with Pound spotlights, was chosen for the spot lighting of free-standing elements such as refrigerated counters and gondolas: the individual light points can be aligned and moved along the track, greatly simplifying pointing correction in the event of changes in the shop layout.
