The Clara Maffei Foundation, which runs the kindergarten of the same name, proposes an educational service made up of spaces, rhythms, objects and people, designed to encourage the harmonious development of the child while taking into account the individuality and resources peculiar to the person. The nursery area is a spacious and new environment, designed to allow the child to feel at ease, where light should illuminate playtime in a reassuring and comfortable way.

The nursery area is composed of cosy spaces that are easily identifiable by the child, organised and diversified with thematic corners that allow for a complete and stimulating experience: a protected environment in which to learn and train new ways of exploring the world. Within this area composed of simple materials and architecture, rich in colours and shapes, the overall light must be soft and enveloping, to leave room for the child's imagination and inclinations to move and play naturally and easily.
The exposed beams and wooden walls make the large educational and play rooms that accommodate the children even more comfortable and cosy. The height and width of the rooms, in combination with the limited number of available lighting points, required the use of dual-emission products, for diffuse and present light in a single installed product. The Pool pendant luminaires dominate in the refectory, providing ample ambient lighting with great simplicity and rigour of form, blending perfectly with the sober and clean environment. Trix lamps installed in the 300 System low voltage cable system are used in the classrooms: thanks to OptiLight technology, the luminaires illuminate the environment with a soft and homogeneous diffused emission, perfectly conveyed by the micro-incisions in the PMMA diffuser.
