Residence “La Quercia”
Sensitivity for context meets light
In the heart of the birthplace of Giorgione, Castelfranco Veneto, a new residential complex integrates harmoniously with the pre-existing nature and the surrounding urban fabric, creating an oasis of peace in which every detail, from the light to the chosen materials, is carefully designed to offer its residents an unparalleled quality of life.

Light designing architecture
Eleven new residential units surrounded by greenery designed by the Cinel Architetti associated studio, enclosed in a volume with a modern and elegant design that is in a balanced dialogue with the context, in which every detail has been thought out and every finish chosen to guarantee the highest quality standards, from the highly technological systems to the colours and materials, without forgetting light, which increasingly plays a leading role in design.
Space, matter, light and greenery are just the elements that enhance the architectural lines of the Residence ‘La Quercia’, a new building characterised by its large terraces that from the first to the third floor offer residents a true open-air living room where they can enjoy the surrounding greenery.
Aware of the importance of light in defining and enhancing the architecture, the designers chose Linea Light Group's solutions for the exteriors, for all the common areas and for the terraces, thus guaranteeing a uniform reading of the building while leaving maximum freedom in the management of the individual domestic interiors.
In the entrance hall and common areas, which distribute the accesses to the flats on the various floors from the hallway, the general lighting is provided by recessed Loro_R downlights. The double-height entrance hall is further embellished on the wall by the indirect, soft and comfortable light of Reflexio, a large luminous disc designed by Mirco Crosatto in which the perimeter source remains completely invisible.
Of great impact is the light installation placed in the centre of the three-flight staircase, with twelve Rossini suspensions arranged in a spiral cascade, a visual feature connecting all the floors of the building. Part of the Sinfonia System, their light is further supported by the presence of Metal_W, a linear applique with double indirect emission positioned along some of the ramps, and by Fylo+ Surface, a minimal aluminium profile designed to blend harmoniously with the surrounding architecture and here chosen to finish with a grazing light the top of the walls that contain and define the stairwell. A lighting situation that is therefore different from that of the halls below and which is here further emphasised by the choice of illuminating the last landing with three recessed solutions.
The external perimeter, from which the lush vegetation emerges, is also punctuated near certain recesses by the luminous touches of Beret_X, an IP67 recessed up-light with extremely small dimensions.
On the outside, the building dynamically comes to life thanks to the choice of placing Ice-Cut66 light profiles between one batten and the other of the perlinature that unites all the terraces, which due to their reduced thickness integrate well in solutions of this type. Chosen in different lengths and positioned in a staggered manner, so as to create a pleasant dynamism in the façade, these are flanked by My White_Q, outdoor ceiling lights with an essential and clean design, positioned in the smaller loggias and in the areas dedicated to the systems, hidden from view by special panels that pick up on the materials and colours of the vertical sunshades and other elements of the building.
The path leading from the external gate, whose portal dimension is sublimated by PU_C Plus, an LED strip that draws its profile, to the building's entrance, vertically highlighted by Vedette_Q, a double-emission applique that creates suggestive plays of light, is illuminated by Optiwall, the innovative walkway marker without a counter casing and with a very reduced thickness, here positioned along the walls that delimit the individual private gardens of the units located on the ground floor. Due to its great practicality and efficiency, Optiwall was also applied along the perimeter wall defining the small parking area adjacent to the entrance, as well as along the ramp leading to the basement car park.
In addition to the underground car park, the complex also has an outdoor parking area, the entrance to which is signalled by the light of Vuelta, a projector that combines great flexibility with a precise and controlled light emission. The individual parking spaces here are signalled by a combination of two Pistillo decorative bollards, chosen in two different sizes, while the Periskop accent spotlight illuminates and highlights the centuries-old American Oak from which the residence takes its name.
