Professional lights for illuminating works of art
Housed in a completely renovated space in Palazzo Pellegrini, not far from Piazza delle Erbe, the exhibition entitled ‘A new gesture, a new matter’, curated by Luca Massimo Barbero, saw the light thanks to a museum lighting project by Linea Light Group. The Foundation selected some post-war Italian works from the Collection, in a project aimed at cultural and artistic sharing open to the public, where families with children are involved. The aim of our intervention was to illuminate the works exhibited inside the museum, through a precise light able to focus every detail and colour on the canvases. Similarly, a more diffuse light illuminates the rest of the room during meetings and lectures organised for the public. The duplicity of the venue is thus highlighted with the right lighting and intensity.

Professional artwork lighting
The products selected for the project are highly performing in terms of colour rendering thanks to the new Fidelty diode with CRI98 and very high TM30 values. The purpose of the chosen lighting is to highlight, in a soft, almost theatrical way and with quality, the canvases displayed inside the room.
The chosen products: Iris_T and Pound are both perfect for museum lighting thanks not only to their high colour rendering but also to their extreme versatility with the possibility of different optic apertures. The lighting design is aimed at meeting the different requirements of the space. On the one hand, in fact, we have the need to illuminate the individual works on display, which are very different in terms of size and light requirements, while on the other hand we have the need to illuminate the museum environment, creating the right atmosphere during moments of sharing such as meetings and conferences.
Iris_T, is a three-phase binary projector perfect for any type of museum lighting thanks to its very high colour rendering. The graduated focus-on-board with different optic apertures made it possible to provide the right amount of light to the works, which can be dimmed on the individual spotlight and adjusted thanks to the dim-on-board mechanism. Finally, sharp, quality light is provided by the arrayLED source, which allows for excellent colour rendering.
For the lighting of the hall, on the other hand, Pound was chosen: a very versatile three-phase track projector, thanks to the arrayLED source and the different optics apertures installed, it illuminated to perfection the hall containing a small but significant piece of Italian art history.
